Pre and first

During this week, students learnt to count 1- 10. they listened to “goodbye” and “ten fingers” songs.in addition, they learnt colors.

What color are you? I’m green.

Colors: green, red, blue, yellow, brown, orange, ….

In math session, they got familiar with the concept of above and below.

The duck is below. The bird is above.

In phonics session, they learnt letters /a, t, m, I, h, s/. also, they learnt how to read blended words.

In GE session, they learnt classroom objects such as: table, chair, door, window, pen, eraser, ruler, pencil case, crayon. They got familiar with classroom actions, as well.

In GE session, Students learnt feelings and adjectives about feelings.

In math session, they learnt about numbers up to 100.also, they learnt to read and write these numbers and find numbers that come before and after. Ms,Golbaba

They learnt some new words such as: piano, guitar, violin, drum as well as Math, Science, Music and English.

Also they did some parts of their activity books.

In phonics session, students learnt /ai/,/a-e/,/ay/,/ee/,/ea/,tr/,/gr/, and /st/, so they are able to read various words and sentences.

First grade (level 2)

Phonics: Long vowel [a] was reviewed and long vowel [e] (ee, ea) was introduced. Different games were played. During the game teacher put picture flash cards and vowel flashcards of related words on the board and she wrote incomplete words. Then teacher asked students to put vowel flashcards in right place inside the words. Students also wrote dictation.

GE: Simple sentences such as “I like… I don’t like…” were reviewed. The Sentence “I have got…” was introduced and practiced. Classroom objects were also introduced.

Math: Concept of size was reviewed and shapes also were asked and answered in the class. Students did their books’ activities.

Second grade (level 2)

Phonics: Words with long vowels were reviewed. Students had a spelling test.

GE: “There is …” and “there are…” were reviewed. Asking and answering about clothes was practiced during the week. Students did their Reading and Writing and Grammar books. They also covered a reading which was prepared for them. They read it, and then painted each part. After that they retold the story of the pictures they have drawn by their own words.

Math: Numbers 7,8, and 9 were taught. Students practiced to write the numbers in the correct way. They also learnt to follow patterns.

Third grade (level 2)

GE: Students wrote dictation of the words from their book. “There is …” and “there are…” were reviewed. Asking and answering about clothes was practiced during the week. Students did their Reading and Writing and Grammar books.

Math 1 A: students learnt to compare cardinal numbers together and express this comparison by the words “more than” and “less than”.

۴th, 5th, 6th grade (level 2)

GE: Students wrote dictation of the words from their book. “There is …” and “there are…” were reviewed. Asking and answering about clothes was practiced during the week. Students did their Reading and Writing and Grammar books.

Math: Students learnt to say time in the correct way. They attained the ability to categorize their data.

In GE session, students are able to talk about their feelings and they are able to make following sentences:

Those are red chairs.
