۲nd and 3rd grade /odi 1/

Emotions and feelings were reviewed.

Happy/sad/angry/hungry/ thirsty/ hot/cold/ surprised/bored/scared/tired

Following sentences have been practiced:

Are you happy? Yes, I am. No, I’m not.

Is she sad? Yes, she is.    No, she isn’t.

Are they excited? Yes, they are.  No, they aren’t.

Students are able to make sentences with these adjectives.

Students did their spelling test.

۴th and 5th grade

During this week, physical descriptions were reviewed.

Black mustache, small nose, short beard, blonde hair, red hair, grey hair.

Students are able to use adjectives in order.

I have got long wavy black hair.

Following sentences have been covered:

My mother has got black eyes.

Has she got small glasses?  Yes, she has.    No, she hasn’t.

Also, students are able to describe and compare people.

My mother is as tall as father.

My brother is older than me.

Students had a test (unit 1).

۵th and 6th  /odi6/

During this week, students learnt the usage of present perfect with ever and never, yet and already.

Book pages 22 – 24 were covered and new vocabularies were taught.

Students did vocabulary test, too.

In Math session, they learnt the concept of multiplication.

۴th, 5th, 6th /odi1/

During this week following concepts have been covered:

Review of phonics 1 and 2.

Review of colors and numbers /1-50/

School objects.

Students are able to name different objects in their classroom such as: pen, pencil, eraser, ruler, sharpener, and scissors. Book, note book and bag.

They can make following sentences:

What’s this? It’s a green pen.

What’s that? It’s a ruler.

Students did some pages of their books, too.

۲nd /phonics 2/

In phonics session, long /a/ was reviewed so students are able to read and write following words and sentences:

I have a fast train.

The nail is pink.

The day is long.

Also, long /e/ with its sound and examples was introduced.

Leaf, seat, heat, meet, need, seed

In science session, following concepts and sentences have been covered:

Parts of the body:

How many legs have you got? I have got two legs.

What is a living thing? Cat is a living thing. It can walk, drink, eat

What is a non-living thing? Chair is a non-living thing. It can’t eat, walk, drink.

How many senses are there? There are five senses. Sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch and taste.

In Math session, sizes, left and right, numbers 1-30 were reviewed.

In phonics sessions, letters /I, a, t, m/ were reviewed. Students are able to name examples and do the action.

Letter /h/ with its sound, action and examples was taught.

They did some worksheets in the class.

Also, all the previous subjects such as: colors, numbers 1-4, shapes, inside and outside were reviewed.

۱st /phonics 1/

In phonics sessions, letters /a,t,m,I,h/ were reviewed. Students are able to name examples and read blended words.

Letter /s/ with its action, sound and examples was taught.

Star, snake, snail, spider, sun, socks.

In GE session, students have been able to name the characters of Super Rory book. They completed their activity books in class.

Students learnt the letter “Pp” with the examples. Numbers 1 to 5 have been practiced during the week.

Students learnt about clothes. They also learnt how to describe their clothes and their friends’.

Asking and answering by “would” have been also covered and practiced. They also got familiar with the notion of addition and subtraction.

Students learnt to express their feelings in more complicated sentences.

Cloudy weather makes me feel sad.

Passing a test with good grade makes me feel relieved.

Winning in a race makes me feel proud.

Getting a Present makes me feel surprised.
