During this week, following sentences have been covered:

Hello/ how are you?/ I’m fine , thank you/ I’m happy/I’m great/ I’m sad.

“Action song” was played, students are able to do action verbs such as:

Clap your hands.

Stamp your feet.

Swing your arms.

Shake your hip.

In PHONICS session, letters ( a,t,m) were taught.

In MATH session, students got familiar with shapes (circle, square, triangle, star, and rectangle).

۲nd grade  / odi1/

Colors and numbers were reviewed by songs.

Students got familiar with demonstrators (this, that, these, those). They are able to ask and answer following questions:

What’s this? It’s a pen. /school objects/

What’s that? It’s a book.

In addition, Students are able to identify school objects such as: pen, pencil, notebook, glue, scissors, and book.

Following sentences have been covered:

This is my notebook. I can write on it.

This is my book. I can read.

This is my glue. I can stick.

These are my scissors. I can cut.

۳rd grade / odi 1

Students got familiar with demonstrators (this, that, these, those). They are able to ask and answer following questions:

What’s this? It’s a pen. /school objects/

What are these? These are books.

What are those? Those are books.

Following sentences have been covered:

This is my notebook. I can write on it.

This is my book. I can read.

This is my glue. I can stick.

۴th, 5th grade/ odi 3

During this week, students got familiar with food and fruits such as: avocadoes, mangoes, pasta, flour, strawberries, cherries, rice, peaches, and plums.

Students are able to identify countable and uncountable nouns. Following sentences have been covered:

Is there any flour? Yes, there is.     No, there isn’t.

There isn’t any flour.

Are there any apples? Yes, there are.  No, there aren’t.

There aren’t any apples.

They did test from unit 1.

Ms.Golbaba/ odi 6

In GE session, reading pages 16 & 19 have been covered.  Students have been able to complete comprehension questions and give summary.

They learnt to blend words with the inflectional endings-ed and ing, to use spelling rules.

They did a test /grammar/. Also their activity books were checked.

During the week the letters “Aa” , “Tt” , “Mm” have been revised and practiced with examples. The blended cvc words (consonant,vowel,consonant) have been practiced. Letter “I i” has been introduced.

Aa: apple, ant, astronaut, arrow

Tt: turtle, tomato, tiger, teacher, tennis

Mm: monkey, milk, mother, moon

Mat, tam, ta, ma, am, at

۳rd grade (odi2)

Students learnt about the transportation and expressing the quantity of vehicles and places.

How many bikes/ cars/buses/ motorbikes are there?  These are five / ten/ two bikes, cars,.. .

Those / these are taxis.

This / that is a taxi.

۴th, 5th, 6th grade /odi4/

Students learnt to talk about their future plan and aim in a simple way. They also learnt to say who their hero is and why. They also learnt to talk about third person.

I want to be an architect because I like to design places. My hero is Zaha Hadid, because she is a perfect architect.

She wants to be an architect because she likes to design places.

During the week the letters “Aa” , “Tt” , “Mm” have been revised and practiced with examples. The blended cvc words (consonant,vowel,consonant) have been practiced. Letter “I i” has been introduced.

In Math sessions, numbers 1-10 and colors were taught. Students have learnt to write numbers 1,2,3.

۲nd Grade

Letters a-z were reviewed and practiced. Students have been able to name different examples for each letter.

Long /a/ was taught. Students are able to read and write following words.

Rain, tail, nail, mail, hail, day, say, may

In Math sessions, the concept of “left and right “and sizes “small, big, medium” were taught.

۴th,5th

Students have been able to read and write long /a,e,i,o,u/sounds.

In addition, some students can make sentences for each word.
